Property Re refurbishment - Winchester

This high-end project, located in the heart of Hampshire, required considerable preparation and planning to achieve its end goal of creating a new style and design for the home.

New front bays and a side extension installed by Chapmans Builders (www.chapmansbuilding.co.uk), accompanied by a complete overhaul of the property's original windows helped to take gentley move the building’s away from its '70s heritage, towards a modern day, luxury yet traditionally designed detached family home.

As part of this exciting journey, it was key for our customer to select a window product that would not only enhance the home's functionality through increases in thermal performance and security, but would also help bring out the building's character and charm, while aiding in delivering the style and appearance they were looking for.

A timber alternative window product by Evolution, called Storm 2, was selected for its joinery timber window aesthetic, and the added bonus of no on going maintenance costs. With so many windows across the property, it was key that this balance was achieved so that any future worries about painting and maintenance costs every 3 years weren't necessary.

Rococo helped during the design phase further by producing a series of photo shopped images that illustrated the various design-options for the home. Through a series of meetings, Rococo were able to explore many window configuration options as well as the Georgian bar layout with the customer, which helped enormously is visualising the development's outcome, whilst providing them with confidence and expertise they needed in order to make their decisions.

Uplifting and refreshing a home in West Wellow

During our styling and design process it became clear that our customers where keen to keep the same design and style as the windows that we were replacing and ensure that the key features that a timber window delivered were present. In addition our client was keen to refresh and uplift their home and wanted to introduce a colour which would work well with a new render they were going to put onto the outside of their property later in the year.

Storm Evolution 2 windows have a standard colour range with includes Agate Grey. Once our client viewed the products in our showroom, they had no doubt that this was right produce for their home. With the deep frame work and Ovalo / Putty design on the Georgian bars that mimicked their originals with unnerving accuracy, they were confident that the final product was going to deliver both in performance , security and aesthetics.

In addition to the windows, our customer wanted to bring more light into their main living area and also be able to connect with their court yard garden settling. Rococo’s expert team set to work removing the French doors and knock out the remaining brick work. They then focused on removing some brick courses at the base, so that the track for the new bi folding door set could drop below floor level. This meant that a new 3 part bi-folding door set could be installed with a virtually flush threshold.

Re installing Character and Charm in Fair Oak

If ever there was a case study to show how Storm Evolution windows, English Door Company Entrance doors and French door's could be used, to great effect then this is it.

Our customer had been concerned for a good number of years about changing their windows. They desperately needed to updated them as their current timber windows were rotten and beyond repair, and nearly did, a couple of years ago to white upvc. Luckily their desire to maintain the character and charm of their home shone through and this decision was deferred whilst they searched the market. Then earlier this year they were recommended to come and have a look at our windows in our showroom.

The Storm Evolution product's were exactly what they were after , a fantastic replacement for timber windows , which maintained the character and traditional aspects of the home whilst offering a increase in thermal performance and a maintenance free future.
